Climate March and Charitybuzz Team Up to Offer Unique Auction Items

The Great March for Climate Action has teamed up with auction site Charitybuzz.com to offer some one-of-a-kind items with proceeds going to support the Climate March. These items include a vegan lunch with Ed Begley, Jr., a courtside ticket to either a Los Angeles Clippers or Lakers game with actress/director Penny Marshall and a photo shoot with “The Griswolds”, Chevy Chase and Beverly D’Angelo.

“The most important and courageous journeys begin with taking that first step, together, in the right direction,” Begley said. “The Great March for Climate Action is imperative for the future of this planet and all living beings on it, not only to stand up to the climate crisis we are in, but to step forward and march on.”

The purpose of the Great March for Climate Action is to inspire and motivate the general public and elected officials to act now to address the climate crisis. Leaving Los Angeles, CA on March 1, marchers will walk 14-15 miles per day and camp nearly every night. After 3,000 miles on foot, the March will conclude in Washington, D.C. on November, 1. Rallies will be held in cities along the March route and new technologies will be demonstrated to show ways to combat the climate crisis.

“We are pleased to have the support of Charitybuzz as well as all of these talented actors,” Dave Murphy, Communications Director said, “Having people of this caliber give their time to help support the Climate March shows just how important the March is to inspiring action towards ending the climate crisis.”

The money raised from these auctions will be used to purchase supplies while on the road during the Climate March including local and organic foods from farmers and producers along the March route. People will be able bid on the auction items until February 11, 2014.
