Fort Garland

May 31: Camp in Fort Garland, CO. MAP June 1: Stay Day in Fort Garland (no marching!) Lunch, movie screening and discussion: A group of professors and students from Adams State University from Alamosa, CO will bike 25 miles to Fort Garland to enjoy the afternoon with the Marchers! We’ll have lunch around noon, then watch a “Apocalypse, Man” by Michael Ruppert followed by discussion about taking concrete actions to act on the climate crisis! Event is open to the public! Starting Location Chautauqua Park Oakland, IA 51560 Ending Location Cold Springs State Park, Lewis, IA Total Miles 18.8 Walking Map/Instructions See map and instructions here. Driving Map/Instructions Same as walking instructions. Overnight Information Camping area is on the southwest of the Lake.
