Senator Touring for Climate Action

Dear Climate March Friends,

Iowa State Senator Rob Hogg has done an amazing job providing leadership on climate action here in Iowa, both at the Statehouse and at the grassroots level. Through a series of tours, he is now working to connect with climate activists across the country. Friday, he heads to New England for a 14-day tour through New Hampshire, Vermont, Massachusetts and Connecticut.

The schedule for Rob’s public events can be found on his Facebook Page. If he is coming to a town near you, please stop by to meet him, hear his message, share your own ideas and concerns, and pick-up a copy of his book, America’s Climate Century. If you have friends, family and colleagues in New England, please pass along this information. The type of leadership Rob provides on climate change is rare, regrettably, and we need to encourage other elected officials to identify climate change as a crisis, not merely another issue.

Rob writes, “I hope this tour will encourage more people to get more involved and speak up more often for climate action. Together, we are growing a movement that will lead America to the climate action we so urgently need.”

Also I want to call your attention to Crowdrise, a new feature on our website that helps marchers line-up sponsors. Eighteen marchers are now using Crowdrise, and have raised over $6,000. If you are unable to march next year but want to support those who are, this is a great way to do it.

Thanks, and please continue to spread the word as we build a movement to inspire others to address the climate crisis.
