Questions

[By: Ken Snyder] Two months into our epic journey and it has been clear (from nearly day 1) that “humility” would be a dominant theme for me, as well as many others in our group.  From the micro-level, daily systems dynamics of our mobile community, to our macro-level stated mission of inspiring action to halt and reverse the progression and address the consequences of the climate crisis brings questions. Questions about our own personal values and our capacity to practice, apply, and realize them abound. Continue reading →

[By: Kimberly Foley; Des Moines, IA] We’ve completed the first million steps, only six million more to go. From strep throat to pneumonia, blisters to back aches, it is a learning process that we’re slowly getting better at. Our spirit walkers (marchers walking every step from LA to DC) and all those making this March possible, have gone through a lot. Steve Martin (Kentucky) is one of our older spirit walkers. He has not missed a step since starting the march in LA on March Continue reading →

TigerMountain

[By: Marie Davis, Burlington, VT] TigerMountain Foundation, south Phoenix, Arizona The Garden of Tomorrow, is here today Jane Kendall and I took a day off the Climate March to meet Darren Chapman, the spirited visionary and founder of TigerMountain Foundation, at one of their gardens in a string of green being created along an otherwise bleak stretch of busy road in south Phoenix. From Virtual Marcher to Marcher

[By: Tuck Taylor] I was a virtual marcher prior to the kick-off rally in Wilmington.  However, as a new “actual marcher,” I’d like to share a couple of impressions of my time on the road. Participating in the “organized chaos” that occurs every morning has given me a greater respect for the Army’s capability to do a similar feat with thousands of soldiers every morning in the field.  I know we will be building our capability to give logistical support for the thousands that will Continue reading →

Those at the encampment will light a fire and burn sage from April 22nd to April 26th, making a strong and powerful stand against the proposed Keystone pipeline.
